New concept: Clinical/serological monitoring after COVID-19 infections for therapists & SARS-CoV-2 Tests at ArminLabs

  1. Completing the COVID-19 Symptom Checklist for:
    • Patients who have previously tested positive via a swab test,
    • Patients with previous typical COVID-19 symptoms,
    • People from risk-groups with previous contact with persons infected with the COVID-19 virus,
    • 2 - 3 weeks after onset of symptoms or 4 -5 weeks after exposure!
  2. If a past infection is suspected, run the SARS-CoV2 IgG/IgA ELISA antibody test in the laboratory or the SARS-CoV2 IgG/IgM rapid test (in the laboratory or clinic, using serum), to check the patient’s immune response
  3. Interpretation of the antibody results by medical professional with the patient or subject (e.g. whether the infection has already taken place or a possible immunity)
ArminLabs will gladly ship blood-collection testkits to you

If you're interested in receiving our special blood-collection testkits, please write us an Email to corona@arminlabs.com or give us a call.

NEW Symptom-Checklist for COVID-19 available - DOWNLOAD THE CHECKLIST

The COVID-19 Symptomchecklist is a supportive tool in the clinical diagnosis of the practitioner/therapist.
It does not replace a detailed clinical diagnosis.

Interpreting antibody results after COVID-19 infections

  1. If antibodies are negative: No indication of having suffered an infection/past infection, no indication of previous contact with COVID-19; this may be during or before the incubation period (up to 2 weeks); possibly a “non-responder”, i.e., has not formed antibodies despite infection
  2. If antibodies are positive or on the threshold (equivocal): Suggests that the patient has suffered an infection with COVID-19 (either still current or past) (exception: a positive IgA – without IgG – has been found in 12.7% of all those who have been tested): clinical symptoms? History? See the COVID-19 symptom checklist
    a) If the patient still has typical COVID-19 symptoms within the first 2 weeks: do a PCR swab, and if negative: past (not current) infection (usually no active virus is detectable after 1 week)
    b) If the symptoms were more than 2 weeks previously: past infection, no longer assumed to be infectious (according to current knowledge)
