Bacteria

In cases of bacterial infection, additional bacterial species can be transmitted alongside the primary infection, leading to additional co-infections. These co-infections may originate from different bacterial species, resulting in a complex overall situation. Particularly in cases of chronic infection, pre-existing bacteria in the body can be reactivated, a phenomenon known as "Opportunistic Infections."

These opportunistic infections can further suppress the immune system and complicate treatment.
