Extension of our EBV-diagnostics by the Anti-EA IgG (Early Antigen)
- additional detection of the Anti-EA IgG (Early Antigen) without additional costs when testing for EBV antibodies

- helps to distinguish the different stages of the disease (for example acute or past infection).
 - IgG antibodies against early antigen appear a little later than the viral-capsid antigen (VCA) in the acute stage.
 - their number decreases to non-detectable concentrations after 3-6 months
 - generally one should simultaneously test for the current cellular activity by the EBV-EliSpot
