Parasites
In cases of parasitic infections, additional parasitic species can be introduced alongside the primary infection, potentially leading to further complications. These secondary infections may originate from different parasitic species, creating a complex clinical picture. Particularly in chronic infection scenarios, dormant parasites can become reactivated, a phenomenon known as 'Opportunistic Infections.'
These opportunistic infections can further weaken the host's immune system and complicate treatment.
